THE NEW DORK - Entrepreneur State of Mind (Jay-Z ft Alicia Keys Spoof)

The Pantless Knights, creators of the brilliantly produced "I'm On A Mac" video, have released a new joint "The New Dork - Entrepreneur State of Mind", spoofing the Jay-Z and Alicia Keys snorefest, New York State of Mind.

While this latest novelty offering is generically eye catching, it lacks a solid focus by squandering more screen time ass-smooching mainstream tech websites and geek icons than it does lampooning the lifestyle and gadget mongering of the modern dork, portrayed in this bit as an urban Sasquatch rapper sporting doofus eyewear.

Although the production is technically sound, it's missing mass appeal by trying to be too "wink, wink" with the plethora of insider geek jokes aimed at getting airplay rather than making great entertainment. It's like watching a rolling "please post my video on your website" shameless advert rather than something with true comical wit. Where's the funny fellas?

The lack of big name actors here is also a major disappointment. Like most certified, card carrying uber-geeks, The Pantless Knights are trying way too hard to get attention from the cool kids.
